EARTH DAY 2025: CELEBRATING ‘OUR POWER, OUR PLANET’
Published date: 17 April 2025
Transforming the lifecycle of technology
We all know the tech industry moves fast. That’s why we’ve made it easier for our partners to contribute to the circular economy – extending the life of devices and reducing e-waste.
Our circular services include:
• Trade-in: Giving new purpose to old devices
• Refurbished: Extending the life of tech
• Leasing: Flexible options with greener impact
• Asset recycling: Responsible disposal with a purpose
Plus, we partner with vendors that are committed to promoting the move towards a circular economy. For example, we offer Lenovo Refurbished Devices, which keep technology in use for longer. Brands like Lenovo now also offer an offsetting service, which can be added to devices to help more organisations manage their carbon footprint.
Driving our achievements in sustainability
At Westcoast, we’re making more conscious choices. Today, 71% of Westcoast’s energy comes from renewable sources – and we’re taking tangible steps to increase that to 100% by the end of this year.
• We generate small amounts of our own electricity via solar panels at our Andover warehouse
• Across Theale, Andover and Milton Keynes, every forklift has rechargeable batteries
• We’ve introduced EV charging points in Theale and Andover to encourage low-emission transport for our team
These are practical steps. But more importantly, they’re proof that progress happens when intention meets action.
Looking beyond Earth Day
From products to secondary packaging, we’re always working with our supply chain to make sustainable choices that meet our sustainability mission, as well as the goals of our partners and their customers.
