Meet the team taking on the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge
Published date: 03 April 2023
On the 13th of May, nine Westcoast employees will participate in the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge, while raising money for Mind, a mental health charity that supports individuals with mental health problems and raises public awareness in the understanding of issues relating to mental health.
The participants will walk, jog or run, through 100 km, starting at Corfe Castle, heading to Swanage along the Lulworth Cove, with many ups and downs until the finish line at Bridport.
Hannah Prior will be one of the participants taking part on this challenge. She shared that training has already started for the team and that they have many walks planned until the date. Hannah is taking part in this event to help Westcoast raise money for Mind, and to challenge herself in doing something she wouldn’t usually do.
“I’m excited to complete the challenge but also nervous as walking long distances is more challenging and tiring than it seems – both mentally and physically - which is something I’ve discovered whilst training.” – Hannah Prior.
Mind is Westcoast’s charity of choice for 2023. The goal is to raise a total of £25,000, for which Westcoast have already planned many fundraising events throughout the year.
