As marketers in the IT channel, it can be a challenge to find collateral that you can use or repurpose when you go out to customers or exhibit at events. We’re fortunate to have close relationships with many of the resellers that we serve, and we know that creating collateral from scratch can be expensive and time-consuming. That’s why we’ve been hard at work on a solution.
One thing that’s never been a problem in the channel is having products to sell and promote. However getting your hands on fliers and email templates to promote these products is an (often fruitless) exercise in patience, with content portals proving difficult to find or simply non-existent, and up to date resources being few and far between. This is where Westcoast’s clever new tool comes into play: Canvas.
Canvas is a website that provides Westcoast partners access to a full suite of marketing collateral across many of the vendors that we are partnered with. On Canvas you’ll find fliers and datasheets as well as eCards covering new Lenovo laptops, the latest HPE solutions and the Surface device portfolio, to give just a few examples. In effect, Canvas is a veritable treasure trove of ready to go marketing collateral, and it’s all completely free.
Having content from multiple vendors all in one place is one thing, but this only half-addresses the main issue. That’s why it was vital that we made Canvas more than just a content repository: we needed to make it smart. Therefore, through the magic of coding we’ve made it so that every PDF file and eCard can be rebranded not only with your own company details, but with your logo too. The process is automatic once you’ve entered your details and uploaded the logo, which means you get to see the results instantly. For eCards we also provide the raw HTML file so you’re free to personalise them even further.
We’re excited about Canvas, both for what it is right now and also for what it can become in the future. We’re adding new content to it every week, but a key part of what we put on there is down to you. We want it to be bursting at the digital seams with useful content, and if you tell us what you want to see on Canvas then we’ll do everything we can to make it happen. Right now, the next thing to do is take a look around the website, download some of the collateral and let us know what you would like to see by leaving a comment below or dropping a note into the feedback form on Canvas. We’re looking forward to getting your thoughts and growing Canvas from strength to strength together.
