Strategy ascend Snowdon for Westcoast's Charity of the Year 2022
Published date: 05 September 2022
On International Day of Charity, we are excited to share some photos from some of the Westcoast team who climbed Snowdon this weekend for Westcoast's chosen charity of the year 2022, Cancer Research UK.
Here's what the team thought of the event:
We started off at 7:15am and reached summit at 9:40am, pretty impressive considering the hideous weather! We got absolutely soaked, at the hardest point of the climb it was like climbing up a waterfall underfoot as there was so much rain! When we reached the summit the weather had cleared up and we stopped for photos and some food before heading down. The descent was so much fun, the weather had cleared up which put us all in much better spirits…we all even had a go at running and jumping down parts, this took us approximately 90mins. We were so proud of how well we did despite the weather, at the bottom we changed out of our soaked socks and enjoyed a well-earned drink. It was a fantastic team effort and I’m so proud of us all.
A massive thank you to all those who took part!
And although the event is over, there's still time to donate. So please dig deep if you can, and TOGETHER, WE WILL BEAT CANCER.
