Supporting Henley Festival and its Rising stars

Westcoast has been part of Henley Festival from the very beginning, so we’re really pleased to continue our support of the festival and its RISE programme in 2024.
RISE provides opportunities for emerging talent across performance, visual art and backstage crew who want to pursue a career in the creative arts. The initiative aims to assist individuals as they enter a notoriously difficult industry with paid, mentored, hands-on experiences at Henley Festival.
In addition to sponsoring the RISE Emerging Talent Stage, we’re thrilled that this year will be the first to feature the Westcoast Rising Star award. It’s our way of supporting emerging musicians during a difficult time for grassroots music.
This year, the award is going to KATYA, a singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist who has performed on the main stages of some of 2023’s most popular UK festivals. Her debut single, 'I'll Take Your Number', was released on Glastonbury's Acoustic Stage and received both national and international support from BBC Radio 1 and Germany’s Deutschlandfunk Kultur. The track was also included in The Independent’s ‘Now Hear This’ selection, as well as Spotify’s Fresh Finds UK & Ireland playlist.
KATYA is known for her personal solo performances where her soulful vocals and layered guitar combine with electronic beats, jazz overtones and atmospheric soundscapes. You can enjoy her performance on the RISE Emerging Talent Stage at Henley Festival on Friday 12th July 2024.
Henley Festival have today released their full line up for this year’s festival taking place between 10th -14th July 2024.
