Westcoast has announced it has now sold more than 100,000 CSP seats through its partners in the UK.
The distributor hit the landmark on Monday October 17th with an order from Storm Technologies.
Mark Davies Westcoast’s Cloud Services Director, said: “We believe we are the first distributor in the UK to go past 100,000 seats. That says a lot given we only started accelerating our CSP programme last September. Since then we’ve absolutely rocketed.”
“We’ve shown that when it comes to cloud service provision – the service delivery is everything. Our partners have seen their cloud numbers surge and their businesses boom thanks to the quality of services we deliver to them and the unique added value we provide.”
He added: “Our cloud partners run into hundreds as opposed to thousands. That means they are not just numbers on a list. We know every single one of them, and their business, really well. And they know that we deliver what we say we’ll deliver. That’s why our CSP business is flourishing.”
Sam Cotton, Solutions Consultant and Cloud Lead, at Storm Technologies, said:
“Without Westcoast, Storm’s CSP practice would have never gotten off the ground; from our first seat to our thousandth, the care and support shown by all the team has helped grow our business exponentially over the last six months. They’re constantly helping support us in finding new opportunities within our install base and we always feel valued no matter the size of customer we bring in.’
He added: “Together we’ve been able to execute on our business plan, surpassing all targets along the way, and look to continue to transact even more business through CSP.”
Georgina Block Head of Cloud Sales at Westcoast, said: “In the Westcoast Cloud team we are focused on end user experience. Our success will be monitored not on the first win but on the end user renewals and up-sell or cross-sell. This will be accomplished by making sure our partners are fully supported and armed with expertise, resource and a well thought through bespoke cloud portfolio.”
She added: “The technology hasn’t changed no matter which Microsoft agreement is chosen. What has changed is the way in which our partners now sell their products, creating margin from value added services and building unique solutions. We spend most of our energy working with our partners in developing their USPs, helping build cloud bundles, researching non mainstream products and sales training.”
Westcoast has gained recognition throughout the channel for its innovative cloud education initiatives. For example, its Nebula Program, designed to enable resellers to become ‘cloud-ready’ has been acclaimed by Microsoft and has also won awards for innovation in training.
Westcoast was appointed as a Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider in 2015.
