Back to insights

On the 23rd of April, two of our employees will be taking part in the London Marathon 2023 to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Earlier this year, Greg Hall and Faye Langford announced that they would start their preparation for this mighty and prestigious race.

Greg is no stranger to endurance runs, having completed many marathons and ultra-marathons in the past. This year, Greg has already participated in 15 half marathons – putting him well on-track to achieving his goal of 52 half marathons in 2023. He’s already received good times for his efforts, completing the Surrey Half Marathon in an impressive 1 hour and 29 minutes, and the Farnborough Half Marathon in 1 hour and 27 minutes.

“I lost my father in 2019 to a long battle with cancer and therefore when the opportunity came to run for Cancer Research, I jumped at the opportunity to raise money for a cause close to me.”
– Greg Hall

Faye consistently runs four times a week – combining a mixture of interval training and long distance into her routine. She’s previously taken part in the Reading Half Marathon, but this year’s London Marathon will be her first long-distance race. It’s fair to say she’s feeling excited and ready to take on this incredible challenge.

“I would love to raise money for cancer research as growing up I watched loved ones have cancer and the money goes towards such a good cause.”
– Faye Langford

To date, Faye has reached 50% of her goal by reaching the £1000 mark while Greg has raised more than £600. Click below to help them reach their goal.
