The leading global market analyst anticipates as we enter 2024, that for every $1 spent on technology, the channel will deliver another $2 in services and support.

While 2023 may have been a stagnant period for devices, 2024 will bring with it a new PC era and fresh opportunities for partners to grow sales. Experts from our Win with Westcoast industry insights event identify that this will largely be driven by the emergence of AI-powered PCs. This will be the start of a new device refresh cycle post-pandemic, with changing requirements for the modern workspace.

At our Win with Westcoast industry insight event, technology market analysts and leading vendors shared their expertise on the Generative AI (Gen AI) opportunity. For our partners, those that embrace Gen AI in 2024, stand to position themselves competitively in the market.

We are delighted to report the results of our fundraising efforts in 2023. Activities to support the valuable work of our ‘Charity of the Year’ for 2023, Mind, saw the team at Westcoast take on walking, cycling and hiking challenges alongside a number of in-office fundraising days. Our collective efforts successfully raised £8,500 which, with Westcoast matched funding, saw us achieve a fantastic grand total of £17,000.

With Windows 10 reaching end of support in 2025, 2024 is the time to be guiding organisations through the Windows 11 migration. At our Win with Westcoast event, Microsoft’s Anjana Srinivasan, General Manager, Device Partner Sales, outlined the areas of growth this brings for Westcoast partners.

As a leading UK IT business, we have a responsibility to inspire younger generations and guide them towards successful career paths. As part of our Bright Sparks initiative, we regularly work with local education institutions to help students learn practical skills that they can take into the workplace. A recent opportunity was a mock interview day at Maiden Erlegh School – attended by Executive Director Alex Tatham, Operations Coordinator Zoe Newton and Assistant Product Manager Dan Harris.

2023 at Westcoast has seen partner events, big anniversaries, and more than a few awards to celebrate. But without the support of our fantastic partners, vendors and employees, we wouldn’t be where we are today. So, with the year almost at an end, we wanted to look back and remember everything we’ve accomplished together.

On Thursday 23rd November, we hosted our annual Win with Westcoast event, providing our partners with insights into what 2024 holds for the technology channel – and how to capitalise on the opportunities. The sessions included forecasts from market analyst Canalys, inside knowledge from technology leaders within our vendors, as well as our own expertise from across the channel. Insights shared by these experts identified four megatrends in the channel for 2024!
