Yesterday, on Monday 18th July, 216 PGA Professionals from all over the country were at Bearwood Lakes for one of the biggest and most recognised Pro-Am events in the country. Westcoast are proud to be sponsoring this event. Congratulations to all those who took part in the heat yesterday and well done to the winners.

Last week, we met some of the team taking on the Pretty Muddy event in Reading - read more here. The event took place this weekend. On Saturday, a group of wonderful Westcoast employees braved the heat and took on the Pretty Muddy 5K event in Reading. We are thrilled to say, that over £6,000 was raised from those taking part, which is a brilliant achievement. The smiles say it all!

Fundraising is well under way at Westcoast, for our 2022 chosen charity of the year, Cancer Research UK. Later this week some of our fabulous employees will be taking on the Pretty Muddy course in Reading raising money for this worthy cause. Find out more.

Yesterday we were fortunate to be attending the CRN Sales and Marketing Awards in London, where we were nominated for our Microsoft Office campaign in the "Best Marketing Campaign" category, and for "Best Company to Work for". We are thrilled to announce that we were awarded Best Company to Work For, and our Microsoft Office campaign was Highly Commended in it's category.

Andrew has now finished his impressive charity cycle ride throughout June, clocking up 527 miles (a huge 175% over the target), and raised over £400 in doing so. Thank you to everyone who has so far supported Andrew, and Westcoast's Charity of the Year, Cancer Research UK.

In May, we announced that Westcoast were shortlisted at the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2022, in the Equality and Diversity category. We are delighted to announce that we won! Thank you to the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Group for a wonderful evening last Thursday.

Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) today unveiled its new distribution strategy for the UK and Ireland. Westcoast, a prominent distributor, providing leading IT products and services to a broad range of resellers and retailers, has been added to Lenovo ISG’s distributors. Westcoast will give more channel partners access to Lenovo’s full portfolio of servers, storage, and solutions products.

Earlier this month we placed the spotlight on one of our employees, Andrew Lowe, who is aiming to cycle 300 miles in June, fundraising for Cancer Research UK. Now halfway through the challenge, and Andrew has clocked up an impressive 206 miles.

Later this month we will share some company wide fundraising events but this week, we place the spotlight on Andrew Lowe's fundraising efforts, as he gears up to cycle 300 miles in June for this worthy cause.

This week it has been announced that Westcoast have been shortlisted at the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2022, in the Equality and Diversity category. This is a fantastic achievement with a huge amount of work being put in by so many great individuals at Westcoast, to help increase the awareness and knowledge on the topic of equality and diversity across the business.

Earlier this year, we announced that Henley Festival is back and in July 2022, it will be celebrating it's 40th anniversary. Westcoast are sponsoring this event and earlier this week it was announced that Westcoast's chairman, Joe Hemani has been appointed as an Honorary Life President of the event.

Congratulations to the 67 Westcoast and Westcoast Cloud employees who have been nominated in these initial stages. This is a true testament to the fantastic female and diverse workforce that we have at our business and we wish them all huge amounts of luck for the final shortlist which will be announced in July.

Earlier this year we announced that Cancer Research UK would be Westcoast’s charity of the year, raising funds for the largest single funder of cancer research globally. This charity is close to many of our employee’s hearts, and fundraising has begun already. This week, we’d like to give a special shout out to Joshua Smith, one of our SMB Account Managers as he ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon recently, raising a fantastic £125 so far for Cancer Research.

Westcoast, the UK’s largest privately owned distributor, has revealed its new partnership with Dell. This collaboration is set to bring significant opportunities to resellers and their customers alike, through innovation and accelerated digital transformation.

For the past two years, Westcoast were committed to support and raise vital funds for our chosen charity, the NSPCC. There were a number of different events that some of our employees took part in, including the Big Skydive, the Thames Trek and the London to Paris Bike Ride, among others. We are thrilled to share the latest article from the NSPCC directly, which confirms that our charity efforts have raised a fantastic £37,076 for the NSPCC. We are so proud of all our employees and want to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated.

It's International Women’s Day today. Achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls is one of the key Westcoast Commits, because at the end of the day, gender bias devalues all of us. Today we are running a special webinar for our female employees with Diana Parkes, a leading authority on women in the world of work.

Yesterday, the Business Magazine held the Reading 2030 event at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre bringing the Reading and wider Thames Valley business community back together in person to unveil development and business updates from some of the largest companies in these areas.

The pandemic has not only shaped how we live and work but has also accelerated the change in how we communicate. Recently, Managing Director Alex Tatham spoke to Business Magazine about what we can expect to see in the short and long term and how the Thames Valley is positioned to take advantage of these changes.
