The channel plays a vital role in supplying schools and colleges with the devices they need, to ensure the next generations get the best possible learning experience, and emerge all the better for it.

Last week we attended the prestigious CRN Awards, where Westcoast were shortlisted in two categories. We're pleased to announce that we were "Highly Commended" in the Innovative Project of the Year category for our HP Flex initiative.

Last night we attended the CRN Women in Channel Awards where Westcoast had 12 fabulous women shortlisted for awards. This morning we can confirm that Westcoast had two winners: Emma Sines - who won the Unsung Hero award Anita Wosket - who won the Manager of the Year award We're so proud to have you leading the way for diversity in the channel.

What a week it's been for Westcoast! We're thrilled to announce that last night we were named the Distributor of the Year in the Mid-to-Enterprise category at the Comms Business Awards! On Twitter, it was announced that "this entry gave evidence of what an IT Distributor can achieve beyond distributing products and licences".

It has recently been announced that Westcoast are the leading technology company in the South East of England in the latest Southern Tech 150 list, by the Business Magazine. Alex Tatham said: "It's great to be sitting atop the Southern Tech 150 once again. It's a great list of Westcoast customers, partners and prospects. We're proud to be leading the UK's biggest tech region".

Earlier this year we shared that Westcoast had been nominated in three categories at the CRN Tech Impact Awards. We're thrilled to announce that today we have been announced as winners! Have a look at our CSR policies on our Westcoast Commits page.

The wait is almost over! Our three main fundraising events are happening this week and our teams have been busy preparing, training and fundraising around the clock in order to raise as much money as possible for our 2021 chosen charity, the NSPCC.

On 31st August, Microsoft announced that Windows 11 will start to be rolled out from October 5, 2021 on all eligible Windows 10 PCs and PCs that come pre-loaded with Windows 11 will start to be come available for purchase.

As we get closer to the dates for the three main events raising money for the NSPCC, we've been catching up with some of the team members to see how their training has been going. There's still time to donate!

"Westcoast Jumpers" - Meet the Team skydiving for NSPCC

We are pleased to announce that Westcoast have been shortlisted in the Distributor of the Year, and in the Innovative Project of the Year categories.

On 8th September, a team of Westcoast employees will be taking part in a huge challenge - cycling from London to Paris, raising money for the NSPCC.

With the NSPCC being our chosen charity again this year, we have committed to support them through these testing times. Our three major fundraising events are getting closer and closer, and over the next few weeks we will be meeting the teams taking part in these events.

Following from the fantastic news in May that we had 32 Westcoast employees who had been nominated for an award at the CRN Women in Channel Awards, we're thrilled to say that some of these individuals have now been shortlisted.

Today we've welcomed a special guest, Alok Sharma, to our Theale office. Alok has been speaking to our Founder, Joe Hermani, and Managing Director, Alex Tatham, about the issues that matter most to us in our local area. Including supporting young people in education, helping businesses to succeed and, of course, tackling a climate crisis.

Last night saw the annual CRN Sales and Marketing awards, where Westcoast were nominated for three awards. We're pleased to announce that we won the Best Marketing Campaign for our Hybrid City campaign, and were highly commended in the 'Over and Above' category, where we celebrated the work of our outstanding warehouse teams that have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic.

This week we have launched our very first work experience pilot programme, in collaboration with Thames Valley Berkshire, using Springpod, presenting three virtual modules which focus on Distribution & the IT industry, Problem Solving & Roles in Distribution and Commerciality in Distribution.
