"I work alongside giants every day. These are people that I look up to and learn from all the time yet somehow, they see fit to recognise me. It is humbling and a great honour to be nominated for these awards, especially when the nominations have come from people that I hold in such high regard and love working shoulder to shoulder in the trenches with. Looking forward to flying the Westcoast flag high on the evening!"
Nimrah Amjed
HR Apprentice
Nominated for: Graduate/Apprentice of the Year – Vendor/Distributor
"I am very honoured to be nominated for Apprentice of the Year. Having come straight out of school into a working environment I wasn’t too sure how I would adapt but thanks to the support from everyone in the HR and L&D Team, as well as my external apprenticeship provider, I have enjoyed every moment.
I am grateful for all the opportunities that have been presented to me since I started at Westcoast last year, as I feel like they have allowed me to develop in my role as an apprentice and be in the running for this award. For my first experience of a workplace, I don’t think it could be any better! It is nice to be treated as an equal rather than as a ‘student’."
Congratulations to our incredible finalists
